Why go to France when France is a T-ride away? At Cafenation, bring a book, bring a friend, and bring your appetite! Sip on a caramel latte or crisp apple cider and savor every bite of your warm Nutella crepe...wait did someone say Nutella?? If there is a flavor in this world better than Nutella, it hasn't been discovered, yet. Formerly wholesale coffee bean producers, Cafenation opened a retail store in Brighton Center just a few years ago and have been steaming and baking their way into the bellies of Bostonians ever since. If you need to catch up on the latest news or work on that business report you've been putting off, bring your laptop-- Cafenation has free wi-fi. Bon appetit!

Jim's Deli & Restaurant
Mon-Fri: 6am-9pm Sat: 7am-3pm Sun: 8am-3pm
Well known and loved for its no frills, cafeteria-style dining and delicious array of sanwiches and hot entrees, Jim's is a legend among local diners who seek neighborhood comfort food. The menu is vast and the portions enormous: come hungry and bring friends to best enjoy the convivial, home-grown atmosphere that truly earns this establishment its beloved reputation. On weekends, come early to avoid the late breakfast rush--at 10 a.m., the line gets long and the seating is scarce, but the food is worth the (surprisingly quick) brunch-hour wait times. The enormous menu covers not only all breakfast foods (including mouth watering omelettes, $5.95), but also many types of sandwiches (all large and fresh and priced near $7 with fries)and plates of pasta and vegetable options. It's not fancy and it's not a linger-and-soak-in-the-ambience type of place, but that's the point. And that's why it's great.

Little Pizza King
[www.littlepizzaking.com/ Little Pizza King]
Hours:
Mon-Thu: 11am-10:45pm
Fri-Sat: 11am-11:45pm
Sun: Noon-10:45pm
It's fast, it's tasty, and it delivers: in a college town, these are the factors that set Pizza King apart from other joints. And though it's named for the pizza, it's the subs here which are truly outstanding. Not only are they affordable--a large, which should be named emormous, runs between %5.50 and $7--but they are some of the best in the area. The Milano (pesto on grilled chicken, bacon, and fresh mozzarella cheese, &7.00 for a large) is not to be missed, and the Buffalo Chicken Sub ($6.50 for a large) is a perfectly spiced old favorite. A large pizza starts at $8.99 for cheese, and there are dozens of toppings available. Standard appetizers--wings, ribs, and tips, $6.50 and up--are also available and taste great.

Whether you're hankering for some saucy beef, a big bowl of sesame noodles, or even a few quick appetizers, this place will satisfy any craving for good Chinese food.
